D.Velmurugan started HOPE Trust 7 years back (since 2014) with 4 friends and just Rs. 500 to help a few blinds.
Later, the desire to say, “Whatever I can do, I will do” is what continues to define HOPE. Currently supporting 50 visually and Physically challenged People in the home and providing meals and grocery kits to homeless, wage labourers, stranded migrant workers, and Covid patients with the team.
Imagine what the future could hold if each one of us came together to support every child’s right to a happy childhood; because even the most minor acts of kindness and generosity make a big difference!.”

Our Hope trust As you know, our trust has been serving blinds and physically challenged people underprivileged children in tribal areas of Thiruthani, Tamil Nadu, since 2014. In the Covid Pandemic, most donors, volunteers and NGO lights only give brightness to the cityside people. Many of them do not consider the people of tribes and rural areas suffering in the covid time. Hope Trust has 50 visually and Physically challenged People. However, the building is not disabled-friendly and is a risk to them. Mr Velmurugan needs your help to build a safer, better residential space for them.
We run a very clean, hygienic and professionally managed high-quality Trust (Home) for visually and Physically challenged People with free boarding and lodging facilities. This leased building is situated at Alapakkam, Chennai. We do not get any payment from them, and hence the inmates can put their entire energy on going up higher with their education without financial burden, stress or guilt.
Our building facilities are a lifeline for 25 visually and physically challenged people. These inmates come from the most marginalized and most impoverished low-income families, with no family support.
The building has been designed to provide our inmates with a comfortable and homely life, including personal beds, well-ventilated rooms and clean toilets. The infrastructure is intended to be appropriate for residents with visually challenged.
Your support can go a long way in transforming the lives of the inmates already staying there, as well as the ones who would accompany them in the future. You can make a variance in their lives.

“I am happy to say that my experience of associating with the hope trust has been great. My appreciation for the excellent work hope is carrying out in uplifting underprivileged children. Hope is investing in a better future for India by providing opportunities to the needy. I am acknowledged to be a part of the Trust in a small way and try to remain so—my wishes to hope to continue reaching out to children who need them the most.”
"I am so happy to see my donation going for a useful purpose, thanks to HOPE Trust, which makes this chance. The truth is that every individual who is financially well-to-do by the grace of God would like to support our less fortunate brethren, but people worry about their donation dropping into the wrong hands."
"HOPE is endeavouring to smile to many people's faces and Visually & Physically challenged person and children alike. They are working towards making society a better and more joyful place. It's NGOs like these that revive your faith in humanity."
“It gives me enormous satisfaction to share my thoughts about HOPE Trust. The idea to have a genuine NGO struck me when I came across underprivileged children seized of basic needs like education, health care, and nutrition. In the short term, HOPE has done tremendous work for the upliftment of underprivileged children.”
